RECAP

Let me just start by saying Alaska was AMAZING!!! This was my first trek so I didn't know what to expect, but it turned out to be one of the best trips I've ever taken. Everyone was so friendly & helpful. Miriam, Michelle, Tom, John and Lorene did an outstanding job of planning all our excursions and keeping everyone excited. Although there was rain, the moral of the group still stayed high and in the end we got some beautiful rain & fog photos.

Travel with our mentors and try out all of the latest equipment from Nikon! Including world class digital SLRs, Nikkor lenses and the Coolpix line of Digital Cameras.

I can completly understand why people who go to Alaska decide to move there. When you first fly in, you are stunned at how “Green” it really is. I had no idea Alaska was a rainforest, but it is beautiful! What is truly breathtaking are the Glaciers. There size is just unbelievable. Also, the icebergs have this blue color that is just amazing! No words or pictures can do them justice. On our trip to the Tracy Arm day Cruise we actually heard & saw a large chunk of the glacier crackle & then break off into the water. It was UNREAL!!!

The wildlife was also amazing. We got to see humpback whales, a glimpse of Orcas, black bears, mountain goats, deer and numerous Bald Eagles. What an Adventure!!! I would definitely go back without a doubt and I can't wait to plan my next trek with the Mentor Series.

Best regards,
